Having graduated from Royal Holloway University with a First Class Honours degree, James subsequently won a scholarship to Cass Business School to study for an MSc in Real Estate. The course, one of the UK’s leading for aspiring real estate professionals, covered a broad background to include modules in statistics, applied appraisal, development and financial modelling which supplemented his knowledge gained from work experience. On completing the course in August 2020, James joined Zorin Finance as a Lending Analyst, supporting the origination team by evaluating and modelling loan applications at an early stage to ensure they meet the company’s lending criteria.

Scott began life in New Zealand, and graduated from the University of Auckland with a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Economics. During his time working for Auckland Savings Bank in the Property Finance division, he completed his second bachelors degree, this time specialising in Property Finance, pairing well with his duties at the bank. In 2025, Scott made the decision to move to London, where he began working for BLG as a Portfolio Manager. In October 2025, Scott joined the Credit Risk team at Zorin, utilising the skills he’d accumulated across multiple continents and roles.

Randy graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2021 with a BSc (Hons) in Property Finance and Investment. He began his career at the Valuation Office Agency, where he worked as part of the Rating Team, gaining valuable experience in property valuation, business rates assessments, and navigating complex property data. This role helped him build a strong foundation in analytical and risk assessment skills. In May 2024, Randy joined Zorin Finance as a Credit Risk Operations Executive, where he is responsible for supporting the Risk team in the execution of new lending transactions, conducting detailed credit analysis, and assisting in the ongoing management of the firm’s loan portfolio.

James has over 40 years’ experience in the construction sector, having held senior positions in all disciplines, and has been involved in Major PLCs, SMEs and start up companies. He has experience of residential, mixed use and commercial developments, as well as large place making, affordable housing and mixed tenure schemes. Having previously worked for The Berkeley Group, Taylor Wimpey and started and sold his own business, he is well placed to advise on the schemes that Zorin fund.

Will began his career at Aurora Healthcare, where he spent 5 years developing and improving their South-West assets. During this time, he worked closely with contractors and design teams to increase the portfolio and the viability of the assets. Following this, Will worked at Colliers as a Fund Monitor for 2 years on commercial and residential schemes, allowing him a smooth transition to client side with Zorin. He now plays an integral part in the loan monitoring of the Zorin Development Finance team, ensuring the smooth operation of the loans from inception to completion.

Paul has a wealth of knowledge and understanding of the property, development and construction industries that has been gained from over 30 years of delivering projects as a Cost Consultant and Project Manager. Paul has worked with large multi-national corporations and small national consultancies and all parties associated with the development cycle from Architects and Engineers to Lawyers and Tax specialists. His expertise allows him to provide insight into the risks encountered during the development and construction process so that he can provide management and guidance on how to mitigate these and ensure that developments are completed successfully. Paul holds a BSc (Hons) Degree in Commercial Management and Quantity Surveying and is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).

Alex is responsible for all operational functions within the business, including: transaction support, reconciliation, fund accounting, cash management and data and information management. He also utilises his extensive analytical, research and computing expertise to support the company’s technology aspirations. Alex holds a PhD in Education and Professional studies from King’s and Imperial College London, a First Class BSc (Hons) degree in Computer Science from Keele University, and an MSc in Modern Japanese Studies from the University of Oxford.

Mei holds an MSc in Finance (Asset Pricing) from King’s College London and a First-Class BSc in Economics with Finance from London South Bank University, where she was awarded an academic excellence scholarship. Prior to joining Zorin, she gained experience in financial reporting, cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder negotiation and strategic partnership development through roles across the UK and Europe. At Zorin, Mei supports the operations and treasury function, focusing on transaction support, reconciliation, fund accounting, cash management, and liquidity planning. She also assists with data management and cash flow forecasting, helping to optimise internal processes and strengthen financial controls.
